Fair use of the citizen website

Terms of Use

These terms cover public information and hand-offs. A transactional service can add specific terms before submission or purchase.

Approved public website terms and the verified operating legal entity are not both configured. The guidance below is a deployment template, not a final contractual publication.

1. Draft operator and acceptable-use section

The site is presented under eSetu Kendra and, once configured, operated by NewGenEra AI Technologies Private Limited. Final approved terms may require lawful, non-abusive use and a secure transaction may require separate terms and declarations. This deployment template does not itself record acceptance.

2. Information service

Catalog pages help citizens discover and prepare for services. They do not create an entitlement, government decision or guarantee. The authoritative notification, department and official portal control where information differs.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for protecting your login factors, reviewing activity and reporting suspected compromise. Do not share passwords, OTPs or payment PINs. Accessing another person’s account or records is prohibited.

4. Accurate submissions

Information and declarations must be accurate, complete and lawfully provided. Review operator-assisted entries before submission. Do not upload unlawful, malicious, misleading or third-party content without authority.

5. Fees and payments

Review the itemised amount and refund terms before paying. Government fees, Kendra charges, taxes and optional items have distinct recipients and rules. A payment is confirmed only by a valid status and receipt.

6. External sites and providers

Links can lead to government or third-party systems with separate availability, privacy, accessibility and terms. A private marketplace, banking, insurance, legal, training or employment provider remains responsible for its own regulated service and representations.

7. Prohibited conduct

  • Unauthorised access, scraping that impairs service, security testing without permission or circumvention
  • Malware, fraudulent applications, impersonation or forged documents
  • Harassment, unlawful content or misuse of another person’s data
  • Misrepresenting eSetu information, branding, receipts or outputs

8. Intellectual property

Government materials remain subject to their stated copyright/reuse policy. Platform design and original content may be protected by the operator’s rights. Links and short factual references do not transfer ownership.

9. Availability and changes

Services may be suspended for maintenance, security, official portal downtime or legal change. Content and these terms may be versioned. Material transactional changes should be brought to the user’s attention.

10. Liability and statutory rights

Nothing excludes liability or citizen/consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to applicable law and approved final terms, the operator is not the decision authority for government services and is not responsible for outcomes controlled by a department or independent provider.

11. Complaints and governing terms

Use the grievance guide and the service-specific authority. Governing-law, jurisdiction, effective date and formal operator address must be inserted and approved before these terms are treated as final contractual text.
