Timely public service
Right to Public Services & Appeals
For a notified service, the published time limit and authority ladder matter. The service record must be checked against the current notification.
Submit correctly
Use the designated channel and retain the dated acknowledgement.
Track the notified limit
Count from the applicable start event and account for a formally recorded query or pause rule.
First appeal
Use the current first appellate authority and prescribed window when delayed or aggrieved.
Second appeal
Escalate to the second appellate authority in the manner and time specified by the governing notification.
Evidence to keep
- Application and acknowledgement numbers
- Submission date and complete copy of the application
- Document-upload or counter receipt
- Payment receipt
- Every query, response, rejection or reasoned order
- Delivery or download evidence
Important distinctions
An indicative turnaround is not necessarily a notified RTS time limit. Kendra handling time is not a substitute for the department’s statutory clock. A Kendra can assist with preparation and routing; it cannot decide the government application or the appeal.
