Time-Bound Public Delivery
Every notified public service carries an enforceable statutory time limit. The department is legally mandated to deliver or issue a reasoned rejection within the prescribed period.
Designated Officers & Appeals
If a service is delayed or unjustly rejected, citizens hold the statutory right to file a First Appeal within 30 days, followed by a Second Appeal before the senior appellate authority.
Delinquency Penalty
The Maharashtra State Right to Service Commission can penalize delinquent government officers with fines from ₹500 to ₹5,000 per day, payable as compensation to the aggrieved citizen.
